Do NOT miss Blackstone River Theatre's 3rd annual Christmas show on Dec. 11 AND Dec. 12 as Pendragon will be joined by the Atwater-Donnelly Trio, The Miller Family, Torrin Ryan and Victorian Carolers for an amazing night of song, dance, carols and tunes!

Hope we will see some of you this Saturday, Nov. 27 as Pendragon hosts the BRT Homecoming concert! Always a great chance to hear lots of amazing music...we'll play a short set to end the night. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We are just off a beautiful evening show at Chase Farm in Lincoln on Saturday as well as the always fun Labor & Ethnic Heritage Festival Sunday and are now gearing up for a Sunday 6 pm appearance at the Newport Irish Festival... hope to see many of you there.... We are putting together a high-energy set and will be joined by Kevin's daughter Shannon for a few dances as well!

Hope you have been enjoying this beautiful August! Pendragon is coming off of several private events and now looking forward to playing at one of our favorite summer venues... Chase Farm on historic Great Road in Lincoln. This concert is set for Saturday, Aug. 28. The next day, we return to the Labor & Ethnic Heritage Festival at Slater Mill in Pawtucket for a 2 PM set featuring music from "Ryan's Mammoth Collection." Plenty of other great performers and a wonderful festival of "Made in Rhode Island!"

Ryan's Mammoth Collection is a tune book we have been working with for the past two years containing 1050 tunes ...and we're going to play them all! Well, maybe not, and certainly not at Sunday's concert at BRT but we WILL be playing a selection of them in one concert set for the first time. Hope you'll come down and check it out...a 2 pm matinee show...and it's FREE!

Pendragon is hot off the Hogan Family reunion Saturday with almost 200 members attending and we have another private event Sunday but before that....with a little luck that the weather holds out...we will be playing a free concert Thursday, Aug. 5, 6 to 7:30 pm at King Park, Wellington Ave., in beautiful Newport, RI... hope to see you at this concert that is part of BridgeFest 2010!

Due to a private event, the venue for Friday, July 23rd is no longer Asa Waters Mansion but will be back on the town common, corner of Main & Elm streets! Bring a blanket or chair and your lunch as Pendragon (Bob, Mary Lee, Russ and Josh) return as part of this great series presented by the Millbury Improvement Initiative. Rain location is the Elm Draught House Cinema, 35 Elm Street, Millbury.

I'll start this with a promise to make at least 2 or 3 entries each month... it's often tough finding the time! We are just off a very hot performance in Uxbridge and continue to work hard on our RISCA-funded presentation of music from the Ryan's Collection which will be debuted at BRT on Aug. 15! We have several other great shows in August including Chase Farm in Lincoln and a new event called BridgeFest taking place in Newport. We also have several private events so I'll remind YOU that Pendragon or members of Pendragon are available for YOUR private party as well! More soon...

We ended up with conflicts schedule-wise for this date so we are having to cancel our 26th anniversary show... it is still OK to send congratulatory presents to the band however!

Unfortunately, our concert has been cancelled due to yet more rain in the forecast... and they have no more dates to make it up... but we have been assured that we will be asked back in 2010 so we will announce that date as soon as it is finalized.

It's been very nice seeing so many old and new friends at our recent summer shows... it's been a busy month indeed! We slow down a bit in August though we will play our rescheduled John Brown House gig on August 13th and we are at Pawtucket's Labor & Ethnic Heritage Festival on August 30 along with many other wonderful performers...

With weather forecasts of heavy thundershowers moving in as well as possible lightning, the John Brown House concert has been rescheduled to Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. We have been assured that it will be a lovely night with sun and low humidity....

Will be adding some news entries here shortly but want to let everyone know we have updated our summer schedule and also added some photos, now viewable in slide-show format. This just in... it will never be sunny again in Rhode Island.... except for our summer shows of course!

Well, eventually I will have time to let you know we have been nominated for an award before the event actually takes place but... not this time. Nonetheless, Pendragon would like to truly thank everyone who voted us as 'Best Local Celtic Act" for the 5th straight year in the Motif Magazine Reader's Music Poll! It is truly an honor and it was a great night with so many people from every kind of music in Rhode Island's scene all in one room.... Thanks to Motif and thanks to all of you!

Many folks have been asking lately and YES, Pendragon does perform at private functions, be it house concerts or weddings, anniversary or birthday celebrations, or corporate events and seminars. We can perform with or without sound system (which we provide) and as a full band or with two, three or four members depending on your budget and what kind of event it is.... just email us with your questions at russell@pendragoncelticmusic.com

We are gearing up for a great month of gigs celebrating St. Patrick's Day as we showcase some new music and some old favorites as well... we look forward to returning to the Sounding Board in West Hartford, Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, and Blackstone River Theatre in Cumberland. Make reservations early and you'll save a few bucks for these shows! We'll also be playing for the first time at the lovely Eleven Forty Nine Restaurant in Warwick RI on St. Paddy's Day itself, from 4 to 8 p.m. Hope to see you soon!

Pendragon celebrated our 25th anniversary with a new CD called "Still Standing." It features new music as well as some new versions of two songs off our very first album released in 1984... yes, an album.
